Be prepared before going to site

When you are going to start your carrier as a Site Engineer, you are following some points.

• Don't be over smart in front of your senior.
• Communicate with them politely or simply.
• Contractor wants to know your character by asking your senior, so be careful.
• Give respect to your senior.
• If the contractor goes to site, then discuss with him about the work or site problem.

1. As you are a site engineer you must know the function of auto level.
2. Take a diary/pocket book with pen on your site always
3. Before going to site planned well, so that minimize the mistakes.
4. Take all  drawings with a water proof file.
5. You have to take work permit for starting the work everyday.
6. Always do the work with safety.
7. Always follows the PPEs at site when you are going to work.
8. If you are working at a particular height that means above the 1.8m you must use the safety belt and handled ladder.
9. Check the checklist of machineries and tools which are used in your work daily or weekly.
10. When you are on site conduct a TBT(Tool Box Talk) for  2 min.
11. TBT means awareness of hazards of materials and works to the workers.
12. Do the work as per drawings.
13. If any changes on your site then take a third party sign on the drawings, which is better for billing.
14. If any extra work is done which is not mentioned in drawings, then that is enter in JMR and which is signed by Consultants/Clients.
15. Try to Completed your work within given time.
16. Marking the site as per drawings.
17. Take excavation permit also to start the excavation work, because if the site has any wires, cables & pipeline under the earth where you will excavate.
18. If more than 2m depth, excavation is done then provide a slope of 1:4.
19. Provide a working space of 2m away from the excavation.
20. Clear the excavated soil from site if it is not possible, then damp around it with a spacing of 1.5m.
21. Always give proper BBS as per drawings.
22. Always check proper levels, reinforcements, cover and formwork before casting.
23. If you get any mistakes, then don't casting at first correct it then casting the structure.
24. Test the concrete before casting by slump test.
25. Always take pour card at the time of casting.
26. Vibrate properly during casting. because it give more strength and avoids the honeycomb in that structure.
27. After casting check again levels.
28. Don't remove the formwork of vertical structure before 24 hours.
29. After the work finish all material remove and stack at one place.
30. Housekeeping to be  done at every site.
31. Hard barrication to be done before leave the site if construction is under process.
32. Use the sign boards also if that is the running way.
33. Report to your senior if any material is shortage.
34. Always note down the quantity of materials availabl in your store room.
35. If more sites are running and the material shortages then don't start the work with a few material it is more time taken and which is loss for your company.
